I approach architectural photography as a way to tell a story — not just about form, but about presence, scale, and social value. That was the core idea behind this project.

The Arganzuela Footbridge in Madrid isn’t just infrastructure. It’s a remarkable work by Dominique Perrault, an architect whose designs often transcend function and become part of the cultural landscape. I’ve always admired his ability to create bold shapes that integrate into their surroundings rather than dominate them.

Daytime Series – When Function Becomes Part of the Landscape

During the day, I wanted to highlight how the bridge interacts with its surroundings and serves the city. Natural light cuts through the spiral steel frame, casting rhythmic shadows and defining its geometry. Including people in the frame was a conscious choice — to show human scale and remind us that architecture exists for people.

Its transparency, open walkways, and connection to the park below make it more than just a crossing — it’s a space designed for experience.

Night Series – When Architecture Becomes Light

At night, the bridge transforms completely. It glows from within, and the atmosphere shifts: intimate, quiet, almost cinematic. I focused on light, reflections, and silhouettes to capture the emotion of the space after sunset.

This is architecture that doesn’t disappear when the sun goes down — it changes tone and continues to speak.

Why This Matters — to Me, and Possibly to You

I don’t photograph architecture just to document it. I want to capture how it breathes — how it relates to light, to people, and to its environment. Because a well-crafted image doesn’t just represent a space — it can inspire, persuade, and amplify your vision.

If you’re an architect, developer, or designer and you want your work to be seen the way you intended it — I’d love to help you make that happen.
